New DelhiCelebrity hairdresser Alim Hakim has a big name in Bollywood. He has done hair styling of many stars. Recently, Alim Hakim told that at the age of 9, he had lost his father. His father died when he was working on Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Mard’, Alim Hakim’s father suffered a heart attack and he died shortly after that.
Amitabh Bachchan had the last haircut
He said, ‘My father did the last haircut Amitabh Bachchan. He went to Mysore for the film and he felt chest pain while working. He died the next day. So his last haircut was Amitabh Bachchan. Whenever I prepare Amitji’s look, I become very emotional. In an old interview, Alim had told that when his father died, there was only 13 rupees in his account.
Many actors shaved
Alim said that his legacy is more than five decades old. He said, ‘Whatever film Amit ji did after Reshma and Shera, my father was a hairdresser. He was an official hairdresser in Reshma and Shera. He had prepared everyone’s look, from Vinod Khanna to Sunil Dutt Saheb and Amitabh Bachchan. Actually, Sunil Dutt was the one who introduced my father to Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. My father had shaved many actors- like Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Rahul Khanna, Zayed Khan.
Let’s charge 1 lakh fees for every session
Alim admitted that people can also call him the product of nepotism (nepotism), but he says that he has been able to stay in the industry only because of talent and hard work. Alim told that he charges 1 lakh for every session, no matter what the client is. He said that if the client is not his close friend, then there is no change in his fees. While working in films, he charges only 1 lakh rupees for every sitting. In this way, he is one of the most expensive hairdressers of Bollywood.
