A chemical tanker caught fire in a fierce road accident in Jaipur. The tanker driver was burnt alive in the accident on National Highway-48. The accident occurred in Maukhampura town of the district at around 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The methanol filled in the tanker shattered on the highway. Fearing the fire should not spread, the vehicles running close to the tanker stopped on the highway. Many drivers left the car and fled.
Traffic was stopped throughout the area after the fire in the chemical tanker. People have also been removed from the spot.
National Highway traffic diverted on one lane
Head Constable Madan Kaswa said that the team reached the spot on getting the information. The tanker driver Rajendra was burnt alive in the accident. Information is being taken about other people. The cause of the accident will be investigated. Right now traffic is being extracted from a route. Traffic has not been opened through this route.
As soon as the accident occurred at around 8.30 am, people left their vehicles and ran towards the fields. People felt that their vehicles would also be burnt due to this. Seeing the fire of fire, people went as far away. Eyewitness Vishal told that he was going towards Jaipur, during this time the truck overturned and a fireball, all of us got scared and ran backwards, walking with us and the car also stopped the car and started running towards the open. Thankfully, no one was harmed.
