They are against the ban of any film, irrespective of its ideology. He said that nowadays people’s feelings are hurt very quickly. The actor mentioned ‘Padmavat’, ‘Pathan’ and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘L2: Emapuran’ and Abir Gulal of Fawad Khan.
The film Ban told wrong
Prakash Raj, referring to the ban on ‘Abir Gulal’, told ‘The Lallantop’, ‘I am not in favor of banning any film, then it is of any ideology. Let people decide. People have the right. You cannot ban films until they are about vulgarity or child abuse. Nowadays anyone can be hurt.
Deepika Padukone mentioned
Prakash Raj further says, ‘I will cut Deepika Padukone’s nose! I will cut his head! ‘ What will happen to that? Shahrukh Khanβ¦ because of only one color? Shameless color noβ¦ they can create a ruckus on anything that they do not like. Prakash Raj Karni was indicating the threat of the Sena, who threatened Deepika that if her film Padmavat was released, she would cut her nose. In the song ‘Besharam Rang’ of Siddharth Anand’s thriller ‘Pathan’, Deepika danced to a saffron bikini, which a section had raised strong objections.
Questions raised on the current government
Prakash Raj accused the Modi government that power is allowing it to happen. They are supporting it, so that fear arises in the society. Some films are not being made in this country. They will not allow it to be made because there is a censorship. Earlier there was a state sensorship. They decide what will be made. The film industry is a very sensitive industry. There is money in it. Therefore, their entire idea is to create so much fear that the next generation should not decide to write what they would write. They do not want this debate.
