The form of yoga practice may be traditionally on the ground, but Haresh Chaturvedi of Agra has given yoga a new height – or simply say that a new depth, because he does yoga on water.

Lawyer Haresh Chaturvedi, a lawyer by profession, has been doing yoga on water for the last 30 years and now he does about 40 types of yoga on water from Surya Namaskar to Headsan.

It is many times more challenging than it seems difficult to hear. Haresh says that doing yoga on water is far more beneficial than the ground, because it is difficult to maintain the balance of the body and control the breath.

Considering Lord Shankar as a Guru, Haresh chose this yoga path and took it to it with penance, practice and restraint. Lying on water, sitting and staying for a long time without any support can be difficult for a swimmer, but Haresh makes it very easily.

They believe that if the government allows, then in schools where there is a swimming pool, this water yoga can also be taught to children. This will increase confidence in children and in the event of crisis, they will be able to save not only themselves but also others. Their attraction towards this water yoga is also increasing among the youth, due to which this tradition is likely to move forward.

Haresh Chaturvedi says that he started yoga with the inspiration of Lord Shankar and today he can do more than 40 yoga on water. Doing all this on Surya Namaskar, headstand or hard pranayama -water can dream for the common man, but it is part of the routine for Haresh.

Today’s younger generation is also taking inspiration from Haresh and expressing desire to learn yoga with them. Haresh admits that anyone can be adept at this art by meditation, restraint and correct diet.
