A case of alleged sexual abuse and assault with two brothers mentally disabled has come to light at a residential school located in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand.

Both these brothers are residents of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh and are 9 and 13 years old. Police said on Monday that the statements of both the children would be recorded in the court.

Accused Monupal (29 years) is a resident of Indrapur Heidi village in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. He was living in Kargi Chowk in Dehradun. He is a diploma holder in special children’s care. He has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

The school was opened four months ago and is currently closed. It was for children with special needs and is located in Banjarawala area of ​​Dehradun. A third child has also been removed from the school by the Child Welfare Committee.

The mother of the children had lodged a complaint with the Patel Nagar police station, after which a case was registered against the accused Monupal under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Poxo Act.
