Two people died in a fire in a housing cum commercial building in the palace area on Saturday evening in Nagpur. According to the police, a fire broke out on the first floor of Jai Kamal Complex near Gandhi Gate. Welding work was going on in the warehouse built in the flat.
The fire spread rapidly due to flammable substances kept in the warehouse. The deceased have been identified as Girish Khatri, owner of NK Light House and his employee Vitthal. Both died of suffocation. Apart from these, a welder is seriously injured. He has been admitted to the hospital.
