During the visit of Yamunotri Dham, a 62 -year -old woman from Gujarat died on Friday due to a sudden deteriorating health. According to Barkot police, Kanakben Patel fell ill near Dev Darsini before the Yamunotri temple. His family then rushed him to the government hospital in Jankichtti with the help of the State Disaster Reserve Force. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead. Police said Patel was a resident of Meghwa area of Anand district of Gujarat.

Landslide on Kedarnath National Highway in Uttarakhand; One killed, five injured
One person was killed and five people were injured in Landslide on Kedarnath National Highway on Friday in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. The accident occurred when there was a landslide near the Kund on the car of devotees coming from Chhattisgarh near Kunda.
As soon as the incident was reported, the teams of the administration and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reached the spot and started rescue and relief work. Officials said that the injured were taken out of the car and admitted to the nearby Agastyamuni Hospital. Two of them have been seriously injured while three have suffered minor injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Singh Rawat (38), a resident of Lambgaon in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He was taking pilgrims from Chhattisgarh to Kedarnath. The injured are between 19 and 25 years of age and they are all residents of Durg district of Chhattisgarh.
