New Delhi. Former defender Birendra Lakra has been appointed as an assistant coach of the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team, who will prepare for the Junior World Cup to be held later this year. Hockey India announced this on Saturday. 35 -year -old Lakra will work closely with great goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, who is currently the head coach of the team.

Lakra made his debut for India in 2010 and became one of the most stable and reliable defenders in the country.
