Bhojpur: Sapna, daughter of Ara district of Bihar, has illuminated the name of the country and the state internationally. At the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, Sapna has made history by winning 2 gold and one silver medal.

The competition was held from 27 June to 6 July, in which players from police, fire fighting and emergency services from all over the world participate. Sapna participated in three archery events and won the gold medal in Field Archery and 3D Archery. While the silver medal in the target archery won. Sapna is currently posted in Gurgaon in the 95th Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF). He started archery with Ara in 2011, and after appointment to BSF in 2014, his talent got a new flight.
Sapna’s father is a tractor mechanic
Sapna, a resident of East Nawada in Nawada police station area of Ara district, comes from an ordinary family. His father Jitendra Prasad is a tractor mechanic, while mother Kunti Devi is a teacher. Sapna is at number three in three sisters and one brother. Sapna is not only an international player, but also a NIS certified coach. Her husband Rajan Kumar, who himself is archer in BSF. Along with Sapna, he is working in Gurgaon. Sapna has achieved this position in collaboration with coach Manoj Kumar, Charan ji and husband Rajan.
