Bihar will collide in 9 countries in Bihar, players will perform in rugby Under-20, administration in preparation

Nalanda: The historical land of Nalanda in Bihar is no longer the city of Buddhist tourism or knowledge, but is on the way to become international sports destination. The latest example of the special efforts of the regime is the Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevance Championship, which is scheduled to be held on 9-10 August 2025 at the Rajgir Sports Complex. Youth rugby players from 9 countries of Asia will participate in this big event. This will increase the number of international tourists in Nalanda and local people will also get employment opportunities.

DM’s high level meeting

A high level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Kundan Kumar to make the event a success in Nalanda, the home district of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this meeting, aspects related to traffic, security, hospitality and disaster management were discussed. The DM clarified that the image of Bihar is to shine on the international stage. Therefore there should be no lapse.

The state government is very serious about this championship being held under the banner of Bihar State Sports Authority. This is the first time that Ragby is being introduced internationally on the land of Bihar, in which women and men will be compared to both classes.

Global complexion will be seen in Rajgir

The Rajgir Sports Complex has been upgraded to the International Standard. The responsibility of repairing the facilities like hoteling, food, transport and medical support for the players has been entrusted to the departmental officers. In the meeting regarding this preparation, Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector and Disaster Management officials were also present, who have been given important responsibility. For the successful operation of the event, all departments have received instructions to stay on alert mode.
