The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted a search operation at several locations in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Jhalawar in Rajasthan. This action has been taken in the case of a terrorist conspiracy associated with the terrorist organization Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT).

The NIA teams conducted widespread search at three places in Bhopal and two in Jhalawar. The campaign was conducted under the ongoing investigation into the activities of HU and its members by RC-15/2023/NIA/DLI, known as ‘Hut Bhopal Case’. During the search, the NIA teams have seized several digital equipment, which will be sent for forensic examination. Which includes mobiles and laptops.

According to the NIA, Sandehi, who is detained, is trying to spread chaos across the country. The case relates to the conspiracy of Hut in which efforts were being made to make and recruit weak Muslim youth. These youth were being motivated to overthrow India’s democratically elected government and spread violence to establish an Islamic state ruled by Sharia law.
