The number of herbal tea drinkers is also increasing these days, but it has still failed in front of milk tea. Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar has shared a post on her Instagram account, in which she writes that 64% of India’s population likes to drink tea daily and more than 30% of them drink evening tea. But, she says that it is fine to drink tea, but it should be avoided at any time. Doing this can also harm you. In such a situation, it is important to know what is the best and bad time to drink tea.
The worst time to drink tea
You should never drink tea on these times-
1. One should not drink tea on an empty stomach. This can increase cortisol. The problem of swelling in the body may increase. Over time, ulcers can also produce.
2. Do not drink tea a few hours before bedtime in the evening. This can disrupt your sleep. Vata (anxiety, dryness, insomnia) can increase.
3. When you have acidity, do not drink tea. Tea is acidic in nature and can cause heartburn.
4. Do not drink tea just before/after meals. It can reduce the absorption of nutrients.
5. Do not drink tea even with iron supplements. Tannin present in tea can obstruct the absorption of iron. These tannins are tied to iron, making it difficult for the body to absorb it, especially for non-hem iron obtained from plants based on plants, so one should avoid drinking tea with iron supplements.
