The Namma Bike Taxi Association has written a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi against the decision of the Karnataka government today (June 16) to impose a full ban on bike taxi. He has demanded immediate intervention from the government.

The court also said that till the state government does not fix the rules related to license, insurance and safety for bike taxi under Section 3 of the Motor Vehicle Act, their operations will be considered illegal. Also, the court had instructed to shut down all services in six weeks and make rules in three months.
