The Gujarat Titans won against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but the BCCI took a disciplinary action against Ishant Sharma and fined 25 percent match fee and added a demerit point.

New Delhi. Gujarat Titans, which started with the defeat in the new season of the Indian Premier League, has made it to the top two in the points table with a win -trick. The team won unilaterally against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. This match team was happy to win but the BCCI imposed a fine on experienced bowler Ishant Sharma. 25 percent of his match fee has been fined and a demerit point has been added to his disciplinary records.
This action has been taken for violating the IPL code of conduct during the victory of Gujarat Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday night. Ishant Sharma has admitted the offense under Article 2.2. The IPL said in a media release on Monday morning, “Ishant Sharma accepted the crime of Level 1 under Article 2.2 and accepted the decision of the match referee. The decision of the match referee for the violations of Level 1 is final and everyone accepts the last and everyone.”
What is Article 2.2
Article 2.2 is part of the code of conduct for BCCI players and team officials. “Cricket equipment or clothes during the match, ground equipment or misuse of fixtures and fittings”. Article 2.2 includes any action other than normal cricket. Such as killing or kicking wickets and any action that deliberately harm advertising boards, boundary fences, dressing rooms doors, glasses, windows and other fictures and fittings. Ishant Sharma’s performance in Hyderabad was disappointing. Even though his team won against the hosts, this fast bowler gave 53 runs without taking any wickets in four overs.
