Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the final T20 match.

New Delhi. Bangladesh created history by winning the T20 series for the first time. In the third and final T20 match of the series, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets. With this, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka in her house and won the three-match series 2–1. For Bangladesh, opener Tanjid Hasan Tamim scored the most unbeaten 73 runs which included 6 sixes and a four. Earlier, Mehdi Hasan emerged as a star in bowling from Bangladesh. Mehndi took 4 wickets for 11 runs in his 4 overs. Mehndi was adjudged Player of the Match for great bowling.

In the third T20 match played at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka scored 132 runs for 7 wickets while batting first. Opener Pathum Nisanka scored an innings of 46 runs off 39 balls while Dasun Shanaka remained unbeaten after scoring 35 runs off 25 balls. Kamindu Mendis returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs off 15 balls. 6 Sri Lankan batsmen could not even touch the double figure. Mehndi Hasan took 4 wickets from Bangladesh.

Chasing a target of 133 runs, Bangladesh won the loss of 2 wickets in 16.3 overs. Bangladesh did not have a good start and its opener Parvez Hussain was dismissed without opening an Emone account. After this, Tanjid Hasan Tamim scored an unbeaten 73 from 47 balls.
