Recently, Karnataka Culture Minister Shivraj Tangagi on Wednesday warned the Tamil actor to apologize for the controversial remarks made against the Kannada language. Tangagi said, Kamal Haasan will apologize to the Kannada people for his controversial statement, otherwise the ban will have to be faced in Sandalwood Cinema. Shivraj Tangagi said, ‘Kamal Haasan has spoken improperly about the Kannada people. Kannada people will not tolerate it. They should apologize. If they do not do this, then I will write to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. I am writing today They should apologize at any cost. There is no question in this. Otherwise, we will ensure that their films are banned from being released in the state.

Criticism of thug life star in Karnataka
After this statement of Kamal Haasan, he is being severely criticized. In Bengaluru, the pro -Kannada groups showed their anger and tore the posters of their film ‘Thug Life’. He also demanded a ban on his film. Recently, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah commented on Kamal Haasan’s controversial remarks. CM highlighted that, Kannada language has a long history and Haasan is illiterate about it. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah told reporters, “Kannada language has a very long history… he (Kamal Haasan) does not know.”

Business is to be stopped in Karnataka, Kannada should be insulted
Other Kannada organizations like Karnataka Rakshan Vedike (KRV) condemned the statement. KRV leader Praveen Shetty said in a video statement, ‘Kamal Haasan said that Tamil is better than Kannada. If he wants to do business in Karnataka, then he should stop insulting Kannada. Your film cannot be promoted at the cost of our language and pride. We are ready to protest, even ready to ban your film.
