Udaipur. Under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana (M), free treatment facility up to Rs 25 lakh will now be available in Ayurvedic hospitals. In the first phase of this facility starting next month, 84 out of 120 state Ayurvedic hospitals have been included. Private Ayurvedic hospitals have not yet been included in this scheme.

Ayurvedic hospitals at Moti Chauhatta, Sindhi Bazar, Mavli and Saira from Udaipur district have been included in this scheme. In all these hospitals, the facility of treatment with Panchakarma method is already available. Now IPD and day-care facility will be available to patients for the treatment of 20 major diseases like asthma, paralysis, Parkinson, arthritis, waist and neck pain.

Selection in view of the popularity of Panchakarma
According to official information, an average of 2100 patients reach Ayurvedic hospitals of the district for treatment. In view of the popularity of Panchakarma treatment, the same hospitals have been included in the scheme in the first phase, where this method is already operated.

Sindhi market dispensary will get hospital status
The dispensary located in Sindhi Bazaar is being treated with Panchakarma system since 2014. About 50 thousand patients have taken advantage of here so far. Soon it will get hospital status. After getting the status, this dispensary has regularly joined the scheme.

Who will get the benefit of the scheme
Under the scheme, the same people will be the beneficiaries who are from the Food Safety Act, Socio-Economic Census 2011, contract employees, small and marginal farmers or families with annual income up to Rs 8 lakh. Others can avail this scheme by paying an annual premium of Rs 850.

There will be an increase in hospitals resources
The facility of expensive treatment will be accessible with this scheme. Also, the resources of Ayurvedic hospitals will also increase. Due to the amount received under the scheme, new machines and better infrastructure will be prepared in hospitals. This will also increase confidence in Ayurveda medicine in the common man.
