Vinayak Shukla News: The story of Vinayak Shukla is in discussion before India vs Oman Oman match in Asia Cup 2025. He is originally from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and considers Dhoni as an ideal and Kuldeep Yadav is his old friend.

Dhoni my ideal
When Vinayak Shukla was asked about the preparation of the Indo-Oman match by the Times of India, he replied in a Kanpuriya style, “Garda will blow up.” Vinayak has always considered Mahendra Singh Dhoni his ideal. He says, “Dhoni Sir is my guru. Even though he has never met him, but the way he won the match to Team India, played the role of Finisher and captained, that is my biggest inspiration.” When he will wearing Oman’s jersey and comes out against India, he will have the same picture in his mind, Dhoni’s calm face and the spirit of ending the match in difficult circumstances.
This match is even more special for him because Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is his old friend. In Kanpur, both of them played club cricket together. Vinayak recalls, “We had many friendly matches. Once I hit a four off Kuldeep Bhai’s ball, he jokingly said, ‘Wow, good shot.’ Now after so many years, it is like a dream to face him at the international level. ” There will also be a celebration of the memories of friendship, not only a cricket fight with India.
Data operator job and practice at night in day
In the year 2021, when he was not getting opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, he took a tough decision and went to Oman. There is a data operator’s job in the day and nets at night. In the midst of this synergy, he proved himself. Debuting Oman in 2024, he scored an unbeaten 40 against Qatar and won the team. Since then, he was on his tongue – “Pa ji, play Asia Cup.” Today his dream has been fulfilled.
The thrill of clash with India
Even though Oman is out of the tournament, this match is the biggest moment for Vinayak. In childhood, the players who saw on TV – Bumrah, Suryakumar, Shubman Gill – are going to land against them today. Vinayak says, “I used to play with India, now I will play against India. It will be the most memorable match of my career.”
