According to the new supply chain update of the analyst Ming-Ci Ku, Apple is preparing to formally start the development of foldable devices by the end of 2025 or in the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025, while large-scale production is expected to start in the second half of 2026.
According to the analyst, FoxConn is ready to start work on the foldable iPhone project by the end of the third quarter of this year or early fourth quarter. Ku also stated that details of many important components, such as the Hinz Design, are still subject to the review and have not been finalized. The upcoming foldable iPhone is rumored that it will have dual-display layout. When it folds, its screen will be 5.5 inches and it will turn into a 7.8 -inch display when it opens.
