22 -year -old Ankita Bhandari, a resident of Yamkeshwar block in Pauri district, was murdered on 18 September 2022. Ankita Bhandari used to work as a receptionist at the Vanatra Resort in Yamkeshwar block itself.
Resort owner Pulkit Arya pressured Ankita Bhandari to do wrong. Which was opposed by Ankita Bhandari. Angered by this, Pulkit Arya and two of his colleagues together killed Ankita in the Chila Canal.
Ankita Bhandari’s body was found after a week
A week after Ankit Bhandari’s murder, his body was found in the Chila Canal. In this case, the police also arrested two other resort employees Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta.
The police became active in the case after the matter jumped in the media. Along with this, the local people had also lodged a lot of protest in this matter. In fact, Pulkit Arya was the son of Vinod Arya, a senior BJP leader, after which the matter caught fire.
