He further explained that when he got ‘Jaran’, he was immediately impressed by seeing its strong story and director’s work. After working with Marathi artists, it is a responsibility to support and promote cinema, which they want to bring to the audience. Anees Bazmee said, ‘When I shoot outside India, I remember Maharashtra, my Karmabhoomi, my house. There is a special kind of energy, a rhythm, which gives more positivity to my work.
The film exposes superstitions
The film is directed by Rishikesh Gupte and has been presented by Anees Bazmee Productions in collaboration with A&N Cinema LLP. Regarding the film, Rishikesh Gupte said, ‘Jaran’s journey has been fantastic. In an entertaining manner, it highlights the influence of superstitions like witchcraft on human life. This is not just a scary story, it shows superstitions and their terrible consequences.
Marathi film Jaran will be released on this day
Producer Amol Bhagat said, ‘The first glimpse of the film is getting tremendous response. Our goal is to keep the audience more tied with the deep story of the film. Amrita Subhash, Anita Date and team work is fantastic. The film will be released in theaters on June 6, 2026.
