In the 1970s, there was a discussion of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha pair. Jaya Bachchan cried at the screening of ‘Mukaddar Ka Sikander’. Rekha praised Jaya and dismissed the news of enmity with her.
In the 1970s, the craze of films among the audience was increasing. Amitabh Bachchan was ruling every heart. Everyone was discussing with Rekha with Rekha. Not only films, even more were talking about both of them. The news was being served with the relationship about the relationship of both. However, on all these gossips, Amitabh Bachchan thought it better to remain silent.
But in the year 1978 something happened that Jaya Bachchan started crying bitterly after seeing Amitabh and Rekha. Tears started falling from his eyes. This is when ‘Mukaddar Ka Sikander’ was released. This film was published in a lot of headlines. Jaya Bachchan had tears in her eyes after allegedly watching this film.
According to Stardust, Rekha once talked about it. He had told that when the screening of ‘Mukaddar Ka Sikander’ was done, everyone came. So he saw the Bachchan family from the projection room during the trial show.
Rekha said, ‘Once the Bachchan family came to see the trial show of’ Mukaddar Ka Sikander ‘. I was in the projection room. I was watching everything from there. Jaya Bachchan was sitting in the line at the forefront that day and Amitabh and his parents were in the back line. When our romantic scene came, there was sadness on his (Jaya) face. I could clearly see that tears were flowing from his eyes.
Rekha had also told that a week after the screening of ‘Mukaddar Ka Sikandar’, there were many whispers in the industry. Somebody was saying something something. In this interview, Rekha said, “A week later, everyone was telling me that he has clearly told the makers that he (Amitabh) is not going to work with me anymore.”
The pair of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha have been super hit on the big screen. Has worked in ‘Mukaddar Ka Sikander’ to ‘Silsila’ and has given many hit films. There was also a lot of discussion about their relationship during work. But ‘Silsila’ was the final film of both, after which both of them never worked together.
Of course, there have been reports of a ruckus between Jaya Bachchan and Rekha for many years. But Rekha herself never told him true. He took Jaya’s name with great respect and has dismissed the news of every enmity and noise.
In the interview given to Simi Grewal in the year 1990, Rekha also spoke very clearly on the relationship with Jaya. He said, ‘Didibhai (Jaya) is very intelligent. His nature is very sociable.
