Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar won the gold medal in the 50m Rifle 3 position at the Asian Shooting Championship, Venue Jhao got silver and Naoya Okada got bronze medal.

New Delhi. Indian shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar won the gold medal by performing brilliantly in the men’s 50m rifle 3 position competition at the Asian Shooting Championship on Sunday. Tomar secured 462.5 points and secured first place. Venue Jhao of China won a silver medal with 462 points, while Japan’s Naoya Okada won a bronze medal with 445.8 points.
Tomar maintained an edge in most of the competition, showing his superiority. The 24 -year -old Olympian performed brilliantly in kneeling. However, he could not repeat that performance in a pron position, but he stood well and became the winner.
He entered the final phase of the competition with a gain of 1.5 points. Among other Indian shooters, Chen Singh finished fourth, while Akhil Shyoran finished fifth in the final. Earlier, the Indian Trio Tomar, Chen Singh and Shyoran won the silver medal at the 50m Rifle 3 position team event.
Tomar finished third in qualification with a total of 584 marks. This was Tomar’s second Asian title at this event, he also won a gold medal in 2023. However, in the 2024 edition in Jakarta, he had to be content with the silver medal after losing to his partner Shyoran.
