5 passengers and 2 crew members complained of dizziness and vomiting during the journey at Flight AI 130, coming from AI’s Heathro Airport in London in London. On Monday, Air India gave this information. Air India reported that the medical team was already ready when the aircraft landed safely in Mumbai.
A spokesperson of Air India said- ‘After reaching Mumbai, two passengers and two crew members were taken to the medical room, where they were examined. All were later discharged. The case is being investigated and the investigating agency has been informed.
There was a problem in three flights on Monday
1. Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar flight returned to Air India Express
On Monday, the Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar flight of the Air India Express returned to Delhi without landing at Jammu Airport. Officials said the flight was to leave at 10:40 am, but it flew at 11:04 am and it was to reach Jammu at 12:05 pm. However, during the flight, the aircraft was returned to a safe land in Delhi due to suspected GPS problems.
A spokesman for the Air India Express said- ‘Delhi-Jammu flight was brought back to Delhi due to suspicion of disturbances in GPS signal. Another aircraft was immediately made available to passengers to Jammu. There have been complaints of GPS disturbances while flying over some sensitive areas.
2. Air India Express’s flight from Jaipur to Dubai
On Monday, the Cockpit failed to have a technical fault in the Cockpit just before the take off in the Air India Express flight from Jaipur to Dubai. After this, the pilot again brought the flight to the apron from the runway area. There were 130 passengers on it. An attempt was made to fix the flight for 5 hours. Still did not get success. After this, it was decided to cancel this flight in Dubai.
3. Indigo’s flight from Indore to Bhubaneswar
On Monday, Indigo’s flight 6E 6332 (Airbus A320 Neo aircraft) going from Indore to Bhubaneswar returned from the runway due to technical fault. There were more than 80 passengers on the flight. Indore Airport Terminal Manager said that information about minor technical fault was revealed in the aircraft. After the improvement, the aircraft has left for Bhubaneswar from Indore. The aircraft stood on the runway for about two and a half hours. During this time, all the passengers sat in the plane itself.
DGCA started audit of the main base of Air India
On Monday, DGCA started the main base audit of Air India in Gurugram, Haryana. This includes operations, flight scheduling, rostering and other things. The audit team includes 8 DGCA officials. The team of 3 members usually audits early.
On 21 June, DGCA had sought details of the airline flight operation inspector from 2024 from the airline’s flight operations, audit, cockpit/root, station facility, ramp and cabin inspection.
3 flights of Air India were canceled on Sunday night
- Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi: The flight (AI 2455) from Thiruvananthapuram of Air India was canceled on Sunday. Actually, this flight came from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram. The airport was suspected of hitting the bird at the time of landing. After this, the return flight had to be canceled. A spokesperson for the Air India said that on 22 June 2025, flight AI2455 from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi has been canceled, as it was suspected of hitting the bird after the aircraft landing. After this, technical investigation had to be done. Passengers have been held in the hotel and are being given refund or new booking. Other arrangements are also being made to go to Delhi.
- Indore to Delhi: Flight AI804 from Indore to Delhi from Indore to Delhi was also canceled late on Sunday night. This caused a lot of trouble to the passengers. At the same time, AI803 of Air India coming from Delhi to Indore was also canceled yesterday. The flight fly from Delhi Airport at 6.40 pm and lands at Indore Airport at 8.15 pm. Both these flights have not been revealed yet for what caused the cancellation of these causes on Sunday.
Air India reduced the number of flights on 19 domestic routes
AI has temporarily suspended three flights by 15 July. It has two international flights from Bengaluru to Singapore, Pune to Singapore. There is a domestic flight, which runs from Mumbai to Bagdogra. The airline gave this information on social media x on Sunday.
The company said that they are also decreasing the number of domestic flights running on 19 routes. These are all narrowodies, these are small aircraft that have low passenger capacity. Earlier, the airline had decided to reduce the number of widebody aircraft by 15%.
On the other hand, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given a serious warning to Air India that if there is disturbances in the flight operation, the airline license can be suspended or withdrawn.
