Passengers descending from Air India flight in Kolkata.
Air India flight going from San Francisco to Mumbai caused technical fault, due to which passengers had to take off the plane at Kolkata Airport on Tuesday morning.
Flight number AI180 was going to Mumbai via Kolkata. The Boeing 777-200LR (Worldlineer) aircraft reached Kolkata on time on June 17 at 12:45 pm. It was to leave for Mumbai at 2:00 pm.
The takeoff delayed due to technical fault in the left engine of the aircraft. After this, at around 5:20 am, the captain asked the passengers to get down from the plane. He said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the flight safety.
The engine of the aircraft is being tested at Kolkata Airport.
Four Boeing’s aircraft returned in two days
16 June: On Monday, two flights from Hong Kong to Delhi and two flights from Delhi to Ranchi had to return.
- First flight: The Air India flight (number AI315) coming from Hong Kong to Delhi returned. There was a matter of technical fault in this. The flight was of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
- Second flight: A flight from Delhi to Ranchi was diverted back to Delhi immediately after flying due to suspicious technical problems. The Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft was to land at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi at 6:20 pm.
June 15: On Sunday, two Dreamliner plane of Boeing coming to India returned by way. One of these flights was coming from London to Chennai and the other from Frankfurt in Germany. Both were to be landing on Monday.
- First flight: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, coming to Chennai of British Airways, had to return due to technical fault.
- Second flight: The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of Lufthansa Airline (Germany) received a bomb threats. Due to this, the plane did not get landing permission and had to return.

Three days ago, passenger stayed in Air India flight for 5 hours without AC
In flight IX-196 of Air India Express coming from Dubai to Jaipur, passengers were kept without air conditioner (AC) for more than 5 hours. During this time he did not get any help of drinking water or any other kind. Its video is going viral on social media on Monday.
The flight had more than 150 passengers. The flight was to leave from Dubai to Jaipur at 7:25 pm on 13 June, but due to technical fault it could fly at 12:44 pm. The flight arrived at Jaipur Airport on the morning of 14 June.
