DGCA has taken this decision after Crashing a 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft of Air India in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The DGCA on Friday ordered a security check of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet of Air India. This order has been issued a day after the death of 241 people in the Ahmedabad plane accident on 12 June. It states that 787-8 and 787-9 airplanes from Boeing will be investigated before every flight. All reports will be submitted to DGCA.
The DGCA has directed AI to maintain additional maintenance of Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft with GenX engine. This order will come into effect from June 15. The Tata Group has 26 Boeing 787-8 and 7 Boeing 787-9 among the Tata Group.
After the accident, the plane of Boeing 787 was broken into pieces.

- Whether or not the parameters associated with fuel system are correct.
- Checking the system that provides air in the cabin.
- Investigation of engine control system.
- Put fuel in the engine and check the oil system.

Dispute-1: Fire in lithium ion batteries, Dreamliner not blown in the world for 3 months

Controversy-3: The method of adding parts of the aircraft changed, the danger of breaking in the air
In April 2024, a whistleblower, who worked in Boeing, claimed that some parts of the Dreamliner 787 body were not connected properly and they could break in the middle during flights. This was a whistleblower engineer Sam Saleh, who had been working in Boeing for more than ten years.
Sam claimed in an interview to the New York Times that this has caused a problem with changing the way several parts of the aircraft together. Flams of aircraft torso come from different companies. They do not fit properly when joined together.
Effect: Following these allegations, Boeing spokesperson Paul Lewis had admitted that the manufacturing method had changed, but this has not affected the aircraft strengthening and his life. Dispute-4: Complaint of many technical flaws including engine failure, oil leakage

Complaints of technical fault in General Electric Genx and Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines used in Boeing 787-8. The accident occurred in 2024 due to technical shortcomings of 787–8 in Japan. When the hydraulic oil leaked in 787-8 of Ana Airlines, the aircraft had to be stopped on the runway itself.
Effect: After this accident, Boeing company and its engine suppliers were accused of poor maintenance and negligence in testing. Experts even said that the design of the engine may have drawbacks, causing an accident during the long flight. Due to these problems, many airlines temporarily grounded 787-8 aircraft.
