Regarding casting Ritesh Deshmukh for ‘Red 2’, the director said, ‘I have always liked Ritesh’s work. We all know that it is a comic role or the role of a villain, all those characters play in a brilliant way. He is actually the best artist. Last year I worked with him in a series, in which he played an important role. Then I had decided that I will definitely work with them once ahead. He told, after the script of ‘Red 2’ was ready, I met him and heard the script. He liked it very much, he liked the character of the villain and thus joined the film. I am very happy that he is part of the film.
Significantly, the film ‘Red’ was released in the year 2018, which was a super hit at the box office. In view of the great response to the film, work was started on its sequel. In the sequel, Ajay Devgan will be seen playing the role of ‘Amay Patnaik’. At the same time, Ritesh Deshmukh is in the role of politician. ‘Red-2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishna Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. It will be released in theaters on 1 May.
