Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, who reached the country’s Lok Sabha by winning an overwhelming majority from Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency, has been selected for the Parliament Ratna Award.
So far, 17 Parliament Members of Parliament and two Lok Sabha Standing Committees have been selected for this award launched by the Prime Point Foundation under the leadership of the country’s late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
In this award, Charanjit Singh Channi, working as the chairman of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Committee, has been selected for this prestigious award in view of his farmer and farm laborer sports. In this regard, information was shared in a statement issued by Parliament Ratna Award Committee on Sunday evening.
