Yash Chopra founded Yash Raj Films (YRF) in 1970, and later it came to his son Aditya Chopra. Aditya took responsibility for this company in 2012. He is now its chairperson. Aditya Chopra directed a hit film like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ) at the age of 24, which was a golden turn of his career. But his journey in the film industry had already started. Before directing ‘DDLJ’, Aditya worked as an assistant director with his father Yash Chopra. He worked on films like ‘Chandni’ released in 1989, ‘Lamhe’ released in 1991 and ‘Dar’ released in 1993. Apart from this, Aditya also worked as a screenwriter for the TV show ‘Tradition’.
