Actor Ejaz Khan’s difficulties increased in rape case, anticipatory bail plea was rejected

New Delhi: Actor Ejaz Khan, accused in the serious rape case, has suffered a major setback. The Dindoshi session court of Mumbai rejected his anticipatory bail plea on Friday 16 May. The case against Ejaz Khan was registered at Charkop police station in Mumbai. An actress had lodged a complaint against her, in which she alleged that Ejaz Khan raped her several times by pretending to be married and made a false promise to provide financial and professional help.

Ejaz Khan filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the court to avoid arrest. However, the police opposed the petition and told the court that if they get bail, they can tamper with the evidence. The court agreed with the argument of the police and said that in view of the seriousness of the case, interrogation of Ejaz Khan in custody is necessary. It is believed that now the possibility of arrest of Ejaz Khan has increased and the police can take further action in this matter.

Ejaz Khan disappeared after the case
When a case of rape was registered at Charkop police station in Mumbai, actor Ejaz Khan went missing. Charkop police tried to contact Ejaz Khan, but could not be contacted. Earlier, in early May, Amboli police sent him summons. Ejaz Khan is accused of broadcasting pornographic content in the reality show ‘House Arrest’, after which there was anger among the common people along with social media. On the complaint of a Vishwa Hindu Parishad worker, the Amboli police had registered an FIR. Earlier, summons was issued to Ejaz Khan on 2 May.
