New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their third win in IPL 2025. The team registered a thrilling victory in a high-scoring match against the home team at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, RCB scored 221/5 runs in 20 overs. In response, Mumbai Indians could only manage 209 runs for 9 wickets. Even though RCB won in the match, the captain took action on the captain and imposed a fine of 12 lakhs on him.
BCCI has imposed a fine of Rs 12 lakh on captain Rajat Patidar due to slow pace in the match against Mumbai Indian. The IPL said in a statement on Tuesday, “It has been found guilty of this mistake for the first time in this season. Under Article 2.2 of the IPL’s code of conduct, he was found guilty of minimum over speed crimes. Due to this mistake, Patidar was fined Rs 12 lakh.”
RCB has made a great debut by defeating Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, moving towards its first IPL title this season. His only defeat has so far lost at home against former champion Gujarat Titans. Patidar played an important role in the victory against Mumbai in the match. He scored 64 runs off 32 balls. Which included five fours and four sixes. He also received the Player of the Match award for his performance.
After the match, captain Patidar said, “To be honest, this award goes to the bowling attack as it is not easy to stop the batsmen on this ground. The credit goes to him. The way fast bowlers carried out their plans were fantastic.”
