In summer, incidents like explosion in AC are often heard, which are quite scary and dangerous. AC blast means that AC fire, smoke or explosion from it. Meanwhile, AC caught fire in a house in Greenfield Colony in Faridabad. The fire was set up in the outdoor unit of Split AC, due to which a big accident happened. The fire increased so much that husband, wife and daughter have died from suffocating inside the house. At the same time, the son’s condition is critical.
This problem is not common, but may be caused by negligence or technical fault. Therefore, it has to be understood why AC blast takes place and how it can be avoided.
Electrical problem- AC can cause short circuit due to excess current or wiring malfunction. This increases the temperature inside the AC and can cause fire.
Gas leakage- If the refrigerant gas used in AC is leaked and collides with the spark, then the explosion can occur. AC can also be caught fire due to gas leaks.
Overheating- AC warms its motor and other parts due to long running for a long time. If the heat increases, it can cause fire.
Not taking care- Due to not doing timely service, dust accumulates in AC, wires can be loose, coolant can be leaked. All these things increase the risk of AC blast.
Use of incorrect or fake parts-Instead of uninterrupted parts, applying cheap and fake parts spoils the performance of AC and increases the risk of blast.
Air filter block- If the air filters are not cleaned, the air flow stops. This causes more pressure on the motor and may cause AC malfunction or blast.
Voltage fluctuations-AC’s electronic parts can deteriorate due to fluctuations in power supply. This can also be a cause of blast.
