New Delhi. To prevent rigging in railway tick booking and to ensure the benefit of Tatkal ticket scheme to the common people, the Railway Ministry has made changes in this scheme. From July 1, only those users will be able to book a ticket immediately, who have verified their account with Aadhaar. In the circular issued by the Ministry of Railways on June 10, it is written, “From 01.07.2025, tickets can be booked only by Aadhaar Verification users only through the website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) under the Tatkal Scheme. After this, for immediate booking from 15.07.2025, Aadhaar-Verify will be made mandatory for immediate booking.”

This rule will be implemented from 15.07.2025,” said in the circular.
