New Delhi. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched the Sanchar Mitra Yojana, which aims to strengthen relations between telecom sector and citizens. During this program, when asked about the deadline for operating satellite communication services in India, Scindia said it would depend on companies how they make their plan after getting licenses and spectrum allocation. He clarified that it is the responsibility of the government to give them licenses on fulfilling the necessary conditions from the companies. He said that two companies have already fulfilled the conditions, while the third company is also going to fulfill soon.
Scindia reiterated the government’s commitment and said that licenses will be issued to companies which will fulfill the conditions. He also informed that the allocation of spectrum will depend on the regulatory structure established by TRAI. He emphasized that companies will have to decide their own plans after these allocations.

India Mobile Congress 2025 Theme launches
Scindia announced the theme “Innovate to Transform” for the 9th edition of the upcoming India Mobile Congress 2025. He informed that India is setting itself as the center of design, solution and expansion of technological progress.
More than 1.5 lakh visitors are expected to visit India Mobile Congress 2025, which will be held on 8-11 October 2025 at Yashobhumi Convention Center in New Delhi. It will participate in more than 400 exhibitions and partners from more than 150 countries, as well as more than 7,000 global representatives.
The event is being organized by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India. It will also include major startup programs, ASPIRE, which aims to connect more than 500 startups with more than 300 investors, incubators, accelerators and VCs. This program will provide mentarships, live pitching sessions and networking opportunities. In addition, more than 800 speakers are expected to be included in more than 100 conference sessions in the IMC recognized as Asia’s largest digital technology forum.
