Most of the cases of Corona are mild and patients are recovering in home isolation.
2 patients have died in 2 days from the new variant of Corona in the country. According to the Health Department- 84-year-old elderly person suffering Korona in Bengaluru has died. Earlier, a 21 -year -old youth died in Thane.
On Saturday, 23 new Corona cases came out on Saturday. 8 cases have been reported in Thane, Maharashtra, 5 in Rajasthan-Karnataka, 3-3 in Uttarakhand-Haryana, 2 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and one in Noida in UP. The total number of active cases has reached 363.
The Union Health Secretary held a review meeting on Saturday amid growing cases across the country. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Health Research Department (DHR), Director General Health Services (DGHS) and National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) attended this meeting.
A health department official said that new cases of Kovid have come up from states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka. However, most cases are light (mild) and patients are recovering in home isolation.

According to the Indian Sars-Cov-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), there have been four cases of another LF.7 types of NB.1.8.1 of Kovid-19 in India. This variant is visible in the increasing cases of China and Asia.
WHO has not considered them worrying, but has categraged them as a variant kept under surveillance. However, spike protein mutations such as A435S, V445H, and T478i of NB.1.8.1 spread faster than other variants. They do not affect the immunity against Kovid.
JN.1 variant is the most common in India. This variant is found in more than half of the samples in testing. This is followed by cases of BA.2 (26 percent) and Omikron Sabalines (20 percent) variants.
33 active cases in Gujarat Gujarat has so far received a total of 40 cases, of which 33 are active. Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh said that 23 cases have been registered in the capital till Thursday. 4 new patients appeared in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Three patients are kept in isolation, while one is hospitalized. At the same time, 5 patients have been found in 48 hours in Haryana. These include 2 women. All these patients have no international travel history.

JN.1 variant weakens immunity JN.1 is a strain of BA2.86 of Omikron. It was first seen in August 2023. In December 2023, WHO declared it ‘variant of interest’. It has about 30 mutations, which weaken immunity.
According to the University of Johns Hopkins in the US, JN.1 spreads more easily than other variants, but it is not very serious. It remains the most common variant in many parts of the world.
Symptoms of JN.1 variant may live from a few days to weeks. If your symptoms persist for a long time, then you may have a long time to live. This is a condition in which some symptoms of Covid-19 persist even after recovering.
