New Delhi. The names of the four teams playing in the Indian Premier League 2025 playoffs have been confirmed. Mumbai Indians moved Delhi Capitals by 59 runs and moved towards their sixth trophy in the match played on Wednesday evening. Batting first after losing the toss, Mumbai scored 180 for 5 wickets on the strength of Suryakumar Yadav’s stormy fifty. Chasing the target, Delhi’s team was reduced to just 121 runs in 18.2 overs.
Mumbai Indians made their place in playoffs with a big win against Delhi in comparison to do or die. Delhi’s team came to play under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis due to the regular captain Akshar Patel’s illness. After winning the toss, Delhi chose bowling and kept constant pressure on Mumbai. By 17 overs, the team’s score was 126 runs for 5 wickets. On the last 18 balls, Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir scored 54 runs to take the score to 180 runs. Surya scored 73 runs with 7 fours and 4 sixes on 43 balls while Naman scored 24 runs after playing 8 balls. The same match got out of Delhi’s hand.
