New Delhi. Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, who is recognized by ‘The Sentinel’, ‘The American President’, ‘Disclosure’ and other films, will be honored with the prestigious Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award. The 54th edition of the Indian International Film Festival (IFFI) will be held this year Goa. Earlier, Spanish filmmaker-writer Carlos Saura was awarded the Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award during the 53rd edition of IFFI.
While sharing the news of Michael Douglas being honored in the upcoming edition of the festival, Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur wrote on his X account on Friday, ‘I am happy to announce that Michael Douglas, prestigious Hollywood actor and producer will be awarded the 54th International Film Festival, the 54th International Film Festival, Goa will be awarded the prestigious Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifestime Award.’
He further mentioned that his deep love for our country is well known. We are eager to welcome his rich cinematic culture and unique traditions at South Asia’s most prominent film Festival to welcome Catherine Jeta Jones and his son.
The 54th edition of the Indian International Film Festival (IFFI) is scheduled to be held in Goa from 20 to 28 November and will showcase the best contemporary and classic cinema in India and the world.
