According to the Apple INC report, there has been a huge increase in the iPhone exported from India in April after shifting the iPhone assembly from China to India. According to the report given to the government by three sellers of the company, iPhones worth more than ₹ 17,219 crore were made from India in April. This is 116 percent more than the same month of last year. In the last year, the figure of iPhone, which has been reported from India in this month, reached ₹ 7,971 crore.
Tim Cook had already announced
Even though the figures may have come up, but the CEO of Apple Tim Cook announced it during the second quarter income call. Apple had said that from this quarter, most iPhones to the US market will be sent from India. In April, several aircraft load iPhones were sent from Chennai to Chicago.
Now that American exports are being fulfilled from India, Apple has increased both production and exports significantly compared to the last year of the last year.
Production and Niryat are constantly increasing
It was the third year of Apple’s production in India in April 2023. This year, the sellers of the company created iPhones worth ₹ 8,772 crore, out of which about 57 percent i.e. ₹ 4,987 crore iPhones were exported. At the same time, in April 2024, 24 percent old age was seen in production. It increased to ₹ 10,894 crore. The export was 73 percent i.e. ₹ 7,971 crore.
Talking about April 2025, the total production price (export and domestic) almost doubled to ₹ 21,400 crore, of which 81 percent, ie about ₹ 17,300 crore was exported from India, most of which were sent to America.
Apple already had the possibility of increasing tariff
Even though Apple has just taken up the iPhone production camp from China, he had lost in December 2024 that there could be changes in the tariff and hence he had increased the production and innocent of the iPhone in India. Apple has steadily increased exports from December 2024, which reached its peak in March when tariffs came into force.

The US government has imposed a 20 percent duty on smartphone imports from China, while there is no duty for three months on exports from India. Experts say that even in the worst situation, this fee can increase by 10 percent, which is the Aadhaar fee applied to all goods.
