There was a deep friendship between Vitthalbhai Patel and Manoj Kumar. Vitthalbhai not only wrote songs for Manoj Kumar’s films, but also helped him many times.
When Manoj Kumar’s film ‘Dus Nambari’ was stuck in the censor board and his release stopped, producer Sohanlal Kanwar contacted Vitthalbhai. Vitthalbhai helped in the release of the film using his influence in the censor board. The ‘Das Nambari’ eventually released and proved to be a superhit.
Could not be fulfilled
Self. Vitthalbhai’s younger brother Sunil Bhai Patel said, “Vitthalbhai had also recommended the government to make the 1981 film ‘Kranti’ tax free.
