New Delhi. Sonu Nigam has been facing opposition from the Kannada film industry since his concert in Bengaluru some time ago. Singer had made a controversial remarks on Kannada language during his concert, after which the people of Karnataka as well as the people of Kannada film industry also left no chance to target Sonu. Seeing the growing controversy, Sonu Nigam had also apologized, but despite this, their difficulties do not seem to decrease.
In the midst of this controversy, Kannada filmmakers have taken a big step and gave another blow to the singer. His song has been removed from the upcoming Kannada film ‘Kuldali Kalywoodo’. Filmmakers have confirmed that Singer’s song ‘Mansu Hadtade’ has been removed from the film. The song was directed by Ramnarayan of the song, composed by Manomurthy and the song was written by Yograj Bhat. This song was very much discussed before the controversy.
Filmmakers took a tough stand on Sonu Nigam
The filmmakers released a statement stating, ‘There is no doubt that Sonu Nigam is a good singer. But, we are very angry with the comments made by him about Kannada recently in a concert. We cannot tolerate insult to Kannada, so we have removed the song. After removing the song in the voice of Sonu Nigam, now the makers have brought Kannada singer Chetan to sing this song. The film’s producer Santosh Kumar has also announced that he will not work with Sonu Nigam in future.
Singer had to apologize
Meanwhile, Sonu Nigam gave a clarification after a dispute over the recent comments in Bengaluru. The dispute arose from an incident at the East Point College on 25 April 2025, where a fan reacted to the demand of a Kannada singing Kannada, referring to the Pahalgam terror attack.
