In this hit film, Zayed played the role of Shah Rukh’s half -brother Laxman, which the entire college knew as ‘Lucky’. The actor described this character as very close to his heart. Regarding his successful character in ‘Main Hoon Na’, Zayed Khan said, ‘Whatever the character I play, Lucky will always keep a special place in my heart.’
Zayed Khan shared the experience of the film and said that ‘Main Hoon Na’ had completely changed his life. He said, “After 21 years, when I look at ‘Main Hoon Na’, he feels like a dream. The character of Laki has completely changed my life. Even today fans meet me and call me ‘Lucky’ or ‘Laxman’, mimics my dialogues or my signature shows by moving the swag. Working under the direction was like a master class of filmmaking, which set the direction of my entire career. The rebel style of ‘Lucky’, its transformation and its style, especially long hair highlights, loose pants, vests and open shirts… all of these became part of the pop culture.
