New Delhi: The personal life of veteran actor Om Puri was surrounded by a lot of controversies. He had confessed to having a relationship with the maid just before marriage. Late star’s wife and filmmaker Seema Kapoor has shocked people by making big revelations about her personal. Actually, he has recently published his autobiography ‘Yun Yu Yu Ab Talak’.

Seema Kapoor has said that her late husband-actor Om Puri was not a curse but a blessing in her life. He has written about the early years in his autobiography, the experiences of Parsi theater, his career in cinema and relations with the people of the film world. Seema Kapoor writes in a book at one place, ‘Sometimes the shaking of life shows us about our real strength and tolerance. If I had not faced those difficulties, I might not have been here today.

Marriage did not go on for a year
Seema Kapoor married Om Puri in 1991, but her marriage lasted for less than a year. Om Puri later applied for divorce and married journalist Nandita Puri. However, he again joined Seema Kapoor again after 14 years and remained closely related to both till his death in 2017. According to DNAIndia report, Seema Kapoor told in an event that she has described her most personal and sensitive experiences with honesty, patience and depth. He has described ‘Yun Paari Hai Ab Talak’ as the journey of a woman who has lived both theater and life closely.

‘Grief strengthened’
Seema Kapoor said, ‘Puri saheb was not a curse for my life but was blessed. Often we realize our real power only after a shock. If I had not suffered that pain, I might not have been here today. I am confident that every suffering in our life gives us a chance to make them stronger from within. I am grateful not only to bear that grief, but also for assimilating it. That experience injured me, but I emerged as a better, more sensitive person than that. When she was asked if she was afraid to write some bitter truths, Kapoor told PTI, ‘Yes, this happened many times. But I have written that bitter truth with full honesty.
