OnePlus’s phone has confirmed serious SMS security flaws. Hackers are accessing sensitive SMS and apps. Know what the OnePlus has advised.

A frightening thing has come to light for OnePlus users. Security analyst has found a serious safety flaw in Oxygenos of OnePlus, allowing any apps to directly access your SMS messages directly. This flaw can affect the old and recent Oxygenos versions, including India and America phones.
According to the cyber security firm Rapid7, this flaw can affect all the OnePlus phones with Oxygenos 12 and its subsequent versions, including Oxygenos 15 based on Android 15.
The list of some popular phones has surfaced, which have been affected. It includes OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 10 Pro 5G (Android 14), OnePlus 10 Pro 5G (Android 15).
However, this list can be long and it can also include devices like OnePlus 12, OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Open Foldable.
What did OnePlus say
Rapid7 informed OnePlus about this flaw and the company has now verified it. OnePlus says that the solution for the CVE-2025-10184 flaw has been prepared and will be rolled out from mid-octobe via global software updates. The company has assured its users that their security and data protection is in priority.
What do users have to do?
Until the update comes, OnePlus users are being advised not to install the app from unknown source, do not click on email or link and use multi-autonomy apps instead of SMS for login.
