World Boxing Championships: Meenakshi Hooda has created history in the World Boxing Championship. Meenakshi won the gold medal by defeating Nazim Kizaibe, a several -time Worlds Gold Medalist and bronze medalist of Paris Olympic in the final.

Meenakshi created history by becoming the second Indian to win the gold medal in the World Boxing Championship 2025 in Liverpool on Sunday. The 24-year-old female boxer defeated Nazim Kizyibi of Kazakhstan 4–1. His opponent won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. The match was Remach of the World Cup final in Astana in June-July, where the local boxer won. East Asian Championships and World Cup silver medalist Meenakshi defeated Mongolia’s enjoyment 5–0 in the 48kg semi-finals.
