The Indian team will now go through the Bronco Test under their fitness program which is being done on the suggestion of the team’s new fitness and conditioning coach Adrian Le Rukes.

According to reports, Le Rukes give priority to fast bowlers by focusing on the gym and running more rather than work. Head coach Gautam Gambhir is also seen in its favor. The Indian team already uses the Yo-Yo Test and the 2-Cim Time Trial to maintain the fitness level of the players.

What is Bronco Test?

The Bronco Test is a series in which the player has to cover a distance of 20 meters, 40 meters and 60 meters. In which a circle is as a whole set.

Players required

The players will have to complete five sets in six minutes without taking a break. This test has been brought to establish the scale of fitness and conditioning of players. 6 minutes have been fixed for the players to pass. It will be considered a measure for selection. According to a report by the Indian Express, many players involved in the BCCI’s annual contract have visited the Center of Excellence of Bengaluru for the Bronco Test. In which the team is especially focusing at the distance of fast bowlers rather than gym work.

Yo-Yo Test and Time Trial

In the current Yo-Yo test, the players have to run at a growing speed between the two corners kept at a distance of 20 meters, with a break of 10 seconds after every 40 meters. The Indian team has set a minimum score 17.1 in this Test. In 2-Mimi Time Trial, fast bowlers get 8 minutes and 15 seconds, while wicketkeeper and batsmen get 8 minutes and 30 seconds.

Le Rukes are associated with the Indian team for the second time in June. Earlier, between 2002 and 2003, they were with the Indian team, after which they served as the fitness and conditioning coaches of South Africa, IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings.
