Former Indian cricketer predicted.New Delhi. Former India cricketer Chetan Sharma has expressed confidence that the ‘Men in Blue’ will win in the Asia Cup 2025 next month. He said that the team that will be selected will do the best of Indian cricket. The Asia Cup will be held from 9 to 28 September in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The ACC issued a statement confirming the sites of all tournament matches. The tournament will be in T20 format and will include eight teams.
Chetan Sharma said on ANI, “The players who will be elected will be the best for the country, and I am proud that the way we are playing cricket, especially against England. We will win the Asia Cup. Five members of the Asian Cricket Council (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka), as well as UAE, Oman, Oman and Hongkang.
India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman are in Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group B. However, India is formally host of the tournament. According to an agreement between BCCI and PCB, a neutral site will be provided for the opposing team for competitions held in India or Pakistan for three years.
During the tournament, Dubai will host 11 matches, and Abu Dhabi will be an eight -match home ground. The tournament will be inaugurated between Afghanistan and Hong Kong on 9 September in Abu Dhabi. India will start its campaign against UAE on September 10, while a high-voltage match against Pakistan will be played in Dubai on 14 September.
