Bhilwara’s Dangal Girl Ashwini Bishnoi has achieved such a position at the age of 17, who only dreams of big players. Ashwini, who belongs to an ordinary family, has won many silver and bronze medals including 14 gold for the country so far. He made history by winning a gold medal in the World Wrestling Championships held in Greece’s Athens recently. She became the first female wrestler in Rajasthan to win the gold medal in the World Championship.

Ashwini won three international gold within a month and also made a golden hat -trick. He also won continuously in the Under-17 Sub Junior Asian Wrestling Championship and Asian Wrestling Championship held in Vietnam. He is the only player from Rajasthan to win gold in all Junior Asian Wrestling Championships and World Championships.

Ashwini’s family is very simple. His father Mukesh Bishnoi works in a textile factory. Mukesh, who has ever walked up to the national level, could not play International, but he decided to fulfill his dream among daughters. He removed both daughters in the arena since childhood and worked hard day and night and paid attention to the training of daughters. Ashwini’s training started under the guidance of Madan Pahalwan of Bhilwara.

He has a harsh practice behind Ashwini’s success. She practice 8 to 9 hours of wrestling daily. He strengthened himself on the mat in the morning, in the afternoon in the arena and in the evening by training at home. The result of this difficult practice is that today she has won many big tournaments at the national and international level.

Ashwini, who hails from Jawahar Nagar in Bhilwara city, has recently passed the first class in the 12th grade art class. The family has parents, a brother and a sister. The younger sister also does wrestling. Ashwini became the first wrestler to play international level from Rajasthan at the age of 15.

He has won medals in big tournaments like National Wrestling Championship, Under-17 National Wrestling Championship, Senior Federation Cup, Under-20 National Wrestling and Khelo India Youth Games. Gold in 2023 under-15 Asian Sub Junior Wrestling and Gold in the Under-17 Sub Junior Asian Championships held in Jordan in 2024.

Ashwini Bishnoi has proved that difficult situations and simple backgrounds cannot become a hindrance in the path of success. On the basis of her hard work, struggle and passion, she has illuminated the name of India internationally and will represent India in many more tournaments in the coming days.

Ashwini practices on the mat daily from 5 to 8 am and then practices on the arena from 11 to 1 pm, then rests during the day and then from 4 pm to 8 pm, she does mate training at home under the supervision of her father. Similarly, 8-9 hours of practice of daily has won her gold girl and now she has won 14 gold medals in different tournaments.
