Ishaan Kishan made his debut against England in Ahmedabad on 14 March 2021. Two Tests, 27 ODIs and 32 T20 matches have been played for India. He played the last competitive match against the Samarset for Nottinghamshire from 29 June to 2 July. In that match, he scored 77 runs as number 6 batsman. In the absence of Ishaan, Bengal batsman Abhimanyu Ishwaran will now captain the East Zone team. 29 -year -old right -handed batsman Ishwaran, who has scored 7841 runs in 103 first -class matches played so far. He was made the first vice -captain for the Dalip Trophy.
In the first quarterfinal match of the Duleep Trophy 2025, East Zone will face North Zone from 28 to 31 August at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground, Bangalore. Shubman Gill is the captain of the North Zone team. The team also includes players like Yash Dhul, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Anshul Kamboj and Yudhveer Singh Charak.
