IND Vs ENG: Sunil Gavaskar made it clear that he was not criticizing Bumrah because it was a case of more injury management than anything else.

Highlights
- Siraj takes 23 wickets in 5 Tests against England
- Gavaskar hoped to end the charge management
- Playing for India is an honor: Gavaskar
Siraj played all five Tests against England and threw a total of 185.3 overs, in which he took 23 wickets. On the other hand, the main fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was available for only three matches and could not play in the fifth Test match played at the Oval under his charge management. Gavaskar told ‘India Today’:
When you are playing for your country, forget the pain and discomfort. Do you think that the soldiers on the border will complain of cold. What did Rishabh Pant show you? He came to bat despite fractures in the foot. This is what you expect from the players. It is an honor for India to play cricket.
He said, ‘You are representing 140 crore people and this is what we saw in Mohammad Siraj. I think Siraj bowled wholeheartedly and he finished the word like work burden forever. He bowled 7-8 consecutive overs in five Tests because the captain was expecting this from him and the country also expected the same from him.
Gavaskar said that the charge management cannot be an obstacle in the selection of the best available team, he said, if you will be bent in front of those who are talking about the charge, then there will never be your best players on the field for the country. I hope that now the word -like word -like word will disappear from the dictionary of Indian cricket forever. The charge is just mental state not physical.
