New Delhi. Tod Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Australia (Cricket Australia), believes that the exciting matches in the ongoing Test series between India and England will have a positive impact on the upcoming Ashes series and they are expected to reach a record number of spectators.

The Ashes series between Australia and England will begin in November. Greenberg hopes that the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in the Ashes will cross the 837,879 total number of spectators during 2024-25. Greenberg told Sydney Morning Herald, “This is fantastic. It is worth watching cricket as a fan (the series being played between India and England for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy). It will also have an impact on the Ashes and we will sell a lot of tickets. ”

In addition to the Ashes in Australian history, most viewers saw the series between India and Australia. The Ashes records 946,750 audiences, which was made during the 1936–37 Ashes, when Sir Donald Bradman was at his peak.

Greenberg said, “I am sure our British friends will come to see the Ashes. We are eagerly waiting for it. I like their way of playing cricket and I am excited to see how they perform on our grounds. ‘
